Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

Hello to all my friends and family! I just got back from the beach after a great long weekend at Uncle John's beach house. I got to see Uncle John and his parents and his brothers Alquon and Ibn. What a beautiful place! Here are a couple pictures from the past few days.

This picture was taken in my room at home. As you can tell, I'm growing so tall and can pull myself up. I guess it's time to lower my crib mattress... I am now able to flop forward from a sitting position to a crawling position, although I can't quite lift my tummy high enough yet to crawl. I'm not far though, so stay tuned and I'll have an update on that soon!

Here I am sitting in my toy box with all my friends. Don't look too closely, though, because my shirt is filthy and covered in drool. No teeth yet though!

Here is a video of me being funny.

Bathing beauties! Mommy and I are on the beach together! It was a little windy for the first two days, so Uncle John built me a fort out of umbrellas to keep me warm and out of the sun. Don't you like my hat?
Here we are being very patriotic! I even wore my red, white, and blue just for the holiday.

Alquon was such a great friend to play with this weekend. He helped feed me, change my diapers, and he loved playing with me. Ibn isn't in this picture, but he was also so nice to me. Mommy and Daddy had so much fun going out for ice cream with the boys while I was sleeping one night. Don't worry, Anne was there just in case I woke up! I was so impressed with the boys' skateboarding skills. Hopefully I'll be a good skateboarder some day.

Here I am in my windproof fort. No sunburn for me!

Uncle John was impressed with my dance moves. Don't be surprised if he tries them out in the Chicago clubs. Good luck in your new job in Chicago, Uncle John!

The beach is so different from the grass in our yard. I'm not quite sure I like the sand, but it does feel funny on my fingers and toes.

In a few years, it'll be hard to keep me out of the water!

Here I am playing on Daddy jungle gym. Even when I hit him on the face with my toy, he still loves me!

Well, thanks for reading my latest entry. Thanks so much to Uncle John and his family for such a fun weekend. Lots of love to all!

Fun in May

Hello, everyone! Thanks for checking up on me! You'll be glad to know that I'm doing so well eating my fruits and veggies every day. My favorites so far are apples, peaches, and bananas...basically, anything sweet!

Here I am in my baby Bear Chair. This is a version made for people my age - and my size! I wanted to sit in it this afternoon, but since it was covered in a thick layer of green pollen, I think I'll wait a while.

Don't you like my hat? My sun hat, that is? I am so excited to be sitting upright in my stroller now without my carseat attached. I'm such a big girl now! I even went in my first 5K road race in my stroller. Mommy and Daddy walked in the "Poetry in Motion" race to benefit a visiting author series at Mommy's school.
This weekend was Hopewell's "Cruise Night." Fancy cars were lined up and down the streets of Hopewell. While this wasn't Daddy's favorite car, it was super cool and I loved the colors and the size of this tiny one.

Whoa! Look at how cool Mommy and Coaley look next to this awesome Lotus! Nevermind the fact that Mommy is only 5 feet tall and that this car is half her size... Shhhh - just let her feel like she's tall for a few minutes...

Here I am in our front yard playing with all my toys. Mommy and Daddy were busy planting flowers and digging up weeds. I, on the other hand, was organizing my toys into neat piles on my quilt.

My hand continues to taste great!

The arm of the Adirondack chair also tastes great!

My newest toy is my outdoor swing! Daddy promised me he'd hang it up straight from the tree this weekend so I don't look so lop-sided. I think this new activity is going to keep me busy this summer! Now I have somewhere to sit while Mommy and Daddy are working in the yard.

Thanks for checking in! I am sending my best wishes to Great-Nana! I hope she is recovering well from her trip to the hospital. I also want to send my love to my Uncle Ben and Aunt Toby!

Lots of love,
Baby Morgan

Derby Day

Hello to one and all!
It was Kentucky Derby Day today and I was so excited to wear my new fancy hat from Neany! I'll either grow up to be as small as a jockey like Mommy or as big as one of the horses like Daddy.
Mommy and I are out in the yard together. I loved smelling the lilacs and trying to put them in my mouth!

Here is a picture of Daddy and me under the big tree next to our house. I was reaching for the leaves and Daddy had to keep pulling me away from them.

Here is a video of me playing with my stuffed beach ball that Mommy made me.

Thank you for checking in with me. Daddy is almost done with classes and Mommy just has a few weeks to go with her school year. Summer is on its way!

Uno de Mayo

Hi Everybody! Happy Friday. Today was an unusual day for me because I spent the whole day along with my Daddy. Miss Mary had to go out of town so that meant I spent the day at home with Daddy while Mommy went to work. We had fun. I ate, slept, played, ate, slept and played.

Here is a picture from last weekend. Saba and Granny Franny came to visit and brought me some clothes from Gymboree. Included was my first bathing suit. It was really hot over the weekend and I took a bath every night to help cool down. So I know that I will spend a lot of time in this bathing suit this summer. In case anyone wants to see what it looked like, I modeled it for a few minutes.

Daddy shot a bunch of videos of us playing. Here is one of me on my tummy.

You can only post one video per blog entry, so we will add some more over the next couple of days.

That's it for now. Thanks for checking on me and I'll see you soon.
