I'm a big sister!

Whoa! So some things have changed since the last time you checked in with me! I now have a baby sister! Alison Lila Amir was born Sunday, April 18th at 3:24 am. She was about 3 weeks early and was totally unexpected for Mommy and Daddy. Fortunately, Aunt Lindsay and John B were in town and took care of me while they headed to the hospital in the middle of the night. Saba came the next day to watch me for a while too!

Here is a picture of Mommy with baby Alie!

I came to visit on Sunday afternoon with my new baby, baby Katie. I have been doing a great job taking care of her this week.
I'm going to be a great big sister!

Here's a picture of baby Alie on the day we brought her home from the hospital! I wore the exact same outfit home from the hospital when I was little. When Alie got home, I was more interested in the chipmunk on the shirt than I was with her!
Here are Mommy and Daddy picking up Alie from the nursery. She came a few weeks early so she had to spend a couple of days in the special nursery to get her ready to come home. We are all so grateful for such amazing doctors and nurses at the Princeton hospital.

This is Alie in the car on the way home. Her pacifier has a duck attached to it. Mine didn't when I came home from the hospital - kids these days!!!
Here is my family without me. I was at Mary's that day and missed all the action. Mommy and Daddy want me to keep my schedule and pretend like everything is normal, although they don't know that I know better. I'm wicked smart.
Here is Alie and Neany. She came down to take care of Mommy and the rest of us. Grandpa Woody and Saba also helped out so much this week. They were so busy though and didn't really get into any of the pictures. It was so much fun to have them visit this week. I'm looking forward to meeting my Granny Franny too. She will be home from her big trip this week.
This is my family. On the left is Daddy and me and on the right is Mommy and my new baby sister, Alie. Her full name is Alison Lila Amir. She is named after Mommy's grandmother Alison Wood. She was a great friend and grandmother to Mommy. Lila means "night" in Hebrew. Since my name is Morgan, which means "morning" in German, it seemed fitting that her name would distinguish her from me.
Here's Mommy with her two little ladies!

Mommy looks so tired and it's just the first day home from the hospital! Good luck, Mommy! Here I am feeding my baby girl on the couch while Mommy takes care of Alie.

Sometimes I get really stressed out about having a new baby sister. Yoga helps me calm down.
Yelling at the refs are another way to help me let off some steam. I wear my hockey helmet hat along with my princess crown for good luck. I don't actually have a favorite team yet, but my favorites so far are the Flyers, the Canadiens, and the Capitals. Poor Daddy, the Devils were booted.
Baby Alie is really adorable.
Daddy is having fun with all his little ladies. I like to climb up in Alie's seat with her.

So keep checking in on us; I promise that there will be lots of adventures to come!
love,
Morgan and baby Alie

Spring is here!

Hello, everyone! It's been a long time since I last posted some pictures. I'm sorry, but things have been so busy around here! I'm 18 months old now and had my checkup today with my doctor. I'm still in the 90th percentile for height and I'm now just in the 50th percentile for weight. I'm really active these days, especially now that the weather is nice, and I'm a pretty picky eater. My favorite foods are still yogurt, cheese, scrambled eggs, Cheerios, Goldfish, green beans, peas, pasta, and mashed potatoes. I also discovered Daddy's favorite food, ice cream!

Here I am feeding myself some yogurt. Sometimes I even get some in my mouth!

I was really excited to watch the Canada vs. US Olympic hockey game.
Neany celebrated a big birthday in March and Mommy, Daddy, Coaley, and I went for her surprise party. Here I am begging for treats with all the dogs.
Grandpa Woody read me lots of stories during our visit. He changed the words to make the stories more interesting.

Here I am back in Hopewell. The weather has been getting warmer, so we've been spending a lot of time outside. I love to watch Coaley chase the ball and play with our neighbor's dog Brie. I also love to climb on and off the picnic table.
Aunt Lindsay visited on her way to a conference and we all went to the Philadelphia Zoo together. At first I was pretty nervous with the big crowds, but once I discovered all the animals, I was so excited to be there! Here I am looking at the tigers with Daddy.
Here's our family...although in about a month, we will welcome my new little brother or sister!
The best part of the zoo was this fake cow. I got to climb around it and check it out from all angles. I kept saying "moo" in hopes that it would moo back at me. I saw some real Jersey cows in the petting zoo, but they weren't as cool as this gal.
Whoa, Mommy! Have you got twins in there? That's the question everyone has been asking her lately. She's pretty sick of hearing it, but I think it's funny.

Thanks for reading my latest entry. Here is a list of all of the words that I can say now: no, uh-oh, whoa, moo, grrr, car, Da-da, cheese, juice, cheerios, good girl, and poop. I understand so much more than I can say and even brought Mommy a blanket the other night after she told me she was tired.

Stay tuned for news on the arrival of Baby Sprout. Love you all!
Love,
Morgan
