Summer Days at the Lake

Hi Everyone! Well we made it to the lake. It was a long trip. Daddy had class on last Wednesday night and Mommy and I picked him up at 8 pm, when he was done and then it was an 11-hour drive to Canada. It actually went pretty fast. I slept a little bit and then woke up just in time to cross the border. Eventually I dozed back to sleep and woke up just as we got to Ahmic Lake at 6:45 in the morning.

On Thursday afternoon I went on my first boat ride. Here I am holding on to the window as we head home from a little excursion. I'm wearing my lifejacket and hat, although I prefer letting the wind blow through my hair.
Here's another picture of me in my lifejacket. This time I'm on the dock at the cottage when we got home. Boat rides are fun!!!

It gets cold at the lake at night time so Mommy has me ready with my pants, sweatshirt and slippers. I even kept the slippers on for a little bit before I started to chomp on them.

Daddy took me in the lake one afternoon. It was cold and I didn't exactly love it. Once the water warms up a little more later in the summer, I'll be ready to spend lots of time in it.

Even though the water was cold, I was still all smiles. Especially after Mommy wrapped me up in my towel to warm up.

Here I am walking around the table on the dock. I have become quite the cruiser, going from table to chair to Daddy's leg and back to the table. I even let go every once in a while. Walking won't be far away.

That's it for now. Thanks for checking up on me and I'll send some more updates from my time at the lake this summer with Mommy and Neany.

Talk to you soon!
Love, Morgan

Summer days

Hello, everyone! I have had such a fun couple of days! I went to visit my new friend Bridget the other day and then I got a visit from my Aunt Orly, Saba, and Granny Franny before my big trip to Ahmic Lake.

Here I am with my new friend Bridget! We had just arrived at the pool in this picture and were getting ready to get in the water with our mommies. While I didn't love swimming in the pool and just wanted to hold on to Mommy, I was so impressed with Bridget's swimming skills! She's a natural! Mommy hopes that I'll get used to the water soon since we're going to be at Ahmic Lake for a few weeks!

Okay, so I didn't love swimming, but I loved playing with Bridget's noisy table! I don't know why Mommy pulled my diaper up so high, but we had a great time playing anyway! Bridget knows how to wave "hi", so I'm going to try to practice that new skill too.

Touchdown with Aunt Orly! Apparently I am just so excited to be playing with my toys, my aunt, and my sippy cup! I'm so excited about Aunt Orly's new job in New York! I can't wait to visit and see the sights in the big city!

Look out! Saba put me on my neighbor's little scooter and I did an awesome job sitting up and having a great time! He helped me scoot along both forward and backward. Next stop...the Harley Davidson shop!!!

Okay, so I'm headed to Canada tomorrow night! Mommy and Daddy (and by that I mean mostly Daddy) will be driving through the night to get to Ahmic Lake. They are hoping that I will sleep most of the way. Mommy is hoping that she too will sleep most of the way. Poor Daddy!

So keep in touch over the next couple of weeks for some Ahmic updates. Lots and lots of love to you all!

Happy 4th of July!

Hi everyone! Here are a few pictures of me from the past week or so.

Here I am with my new pool in our backyard. I was just checking it out in this picture, but I did get in later in the day!

Told you so! I wasn't totally sure about being in the chilly water at first, but I did get used to it and had a great time splashing and playing with the orange bowl.

What? Who's in the pool with me? It's my mom! I started to get grumpy being in the pool by myself, so Mommy jumped in and played with me! If only our pool were a little bigger, we might have gotten the whole family in....Daddy and Coaley too!

Happy 4th of July! It was a gorgeous day here in Central NJ, but this picture is just from our living room! Don't you love my dress?

What an adorable close-up!

Playing in the backyard...

This isn't a new picture; it was taken when we were on LBI at Memorial Day, but isn't it good?

Just a couple of days left before we pack up and head to Ahmic Lake for a few weeks! Mommy and Daddy are busy with laundry, buying baby food, and making sure that I have enough toys to keep me busy while I'm up at the cottage. I can't wait to go swimming for the first time! I'm not looking forward to meeting my first mosquito, but I know I'll have so much fun! Stay tuned for some Ahmic updates...and wish us luck on the 12-hour drive to get there!

Lots and lots of love,
Morgan
