Activities Week is Upon Us

Hi Everyone,

The days have gotten busy up here at Ahmic. Activities week is underway and we have been fishing. Yesterday we went to Family Fun Day and today was the Sunfish race. At Family Fun Day I watched a bunch of the older kids race and play games and I'll be in the middle of the action this year. I also watched the Sunfish race but it will be a few years before I learn how to sail. Here are some pictures from the last few days.

On Saturday we took a night time boat trip to town to go to the square dance. I had fun dancing with Mommy, Daddy, Aunt Lindsay and John.

Daddy and Alie are sitting on the porch swing. Alie sleeps a lot and Daddy needs to shave.

I love ducks. We ran across this family in town today and I fed them hit dog buns.

This is Neany, Mommy and Ruddy on the new deck that we all have been working on. I even helped hammer in a few nails.

Big news from baby Alie!  She slept through the night last night for the first time! What a week of milestones for little Alie:  she rolled (okay, accidentally) from her tummy to her back, she started watching her hands, she discovered she can suck her thumb, and her first full night of sleep!  Now, if only she could get that napping thing down....

At the Cottage - Part Deux

Here are some more pictures of our adventures at Ahmic Lake.  We have been having a great time this week with lots of visitors.  Aunt Lindsay arrived, Bumpa and Bob were here for a week, and Uncle Ben and his dog Mason/Bacon/Mason Jar/Baconator/Pup were also here for a week.  Aunt Lindsay's friend JohnJohn is here now and we are having fun terrorizing him.

At the Cottage

Here are some pictures of my first week at the cottage.  Mommy can't quite figure out how to help me format this update better, so we apologize for the awkward layout.  

I've been having a great time here at Ahmic Lake.  I've been a busy girl with all of the things to do here.  My favorite new activities include swimming in my pool on the porch, spending time on the dock and dipping my feet in the water, watering the flowers and playing with water in some bowls on the back deck, looking for snacks in the snack closet, going up and down the stairs, sweeping the porch, rocking in a rocking chair, coloring, reading books, opening doors and going onto the porch when no one is looking, hiking in the woods, and trying to find chipmunks on the property.  Here's what I don't like:  eating at mealtime, swimming in the lake, when Mommy says "no," when people pay more attention to Alie than me, wearing certain outfits, and sometimes having my diaper changed.  I tend to throw a fit if any of these things happen.  

Daddy was here at the lake for the first couple of days, but he had to go back to Hopewell to work for a week or so.  I'm really looking forward to seeing him this weekend.  He's bringing my good friend Uncle Ben with him.

Alie is doing so well!  She is growing so big and is as cute as ever!  We think she had a growth spurt the other day because she was pretty crabby and didn't want to take a nap.  She looks very cute in her lifejacket.  We'll take a picture of her for the next blog update.
